KKR seal cruical win against the Royals

In the match number 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kolkata Knight Riders sealed a crucial win over Rajasthan Royals which also cemented their place in the third position.

Dinesh Karthik put Rajasthan Royals to bat first after winning the toss and the decision went in favor of the KKR as the bowlers knocked out the Royals for just 142 runs despite an amazing opening stand between Jos Butler (39) and Rahul Tripathi (27).

After the openers departed, none of the batsman couldn’t make a mark and a magical spell from the leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav destroyed the Royals. Kuldeep picked up 4 wickets in his 4 overs and conceded only 20 runs. Prasidh and Andre Russell also picked up 2 wickets each.

In reply, in form openers Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine started off well. Though Narine departed after a cameo knock of 21 runs off juts 7 balls, Lynn continued in a different fashion and played a steady knock of 45 from 42 balls.

RR’s Ben Stokes had a best day with the ball as he picked up 3 wickets for just 15 runs including 1 maiden over. But that couldn’t help his side to steal the victory.

Andre Russel along with skipper Dinesh Karthik took KKR over the line and with 2 overs to spare, they finished it off and marked their number three spot in the points table.
