Coming to the Test team rankings, India still remained as the top position. New Zealand, South Africa, England, and Australia follow next on the list respectively.

In the bowlers’ list, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are ranked 6th and 10th respectively.

Experienced England pacer James Anderson, who was outsmarted by South Africa fast bowling sensation Kagiso Rabada in November last year and by the present No. 1 bowler Pat Cummins of Australia, takes the second spot in the bowlers’ rankings.

Stuart Broad ranks 19th and will be looking to retain a top-20 spot, a position which he maintained since 2009, while Moeen Ali ranks 25th with 621 points.

England Test captain Joe Root takes the sixth place while Jonny Bairstow and Jos Buttler are ranked 26th and 27th places.

As far as Ireland is concerned, Kevin O’Brien’s pitched in with scores of 40 and 118 on debut against Pakistan and a subsequent half-century against Afghanistan have boosted him to the 68th place while Gary Wilson stands at 140th in the batting charts.

It should be noted that Stuart Thompson is their highest-ranked bowler who stands at 64th position with Tim Murtagh just 2 positions behind. Boyd Rankin, who featured in just one Test for England in 2014 has got a lot of time to improve his 106th spot.
