Kohli becomes fastest to 11000 ODI runs

Indian skipper and right-handed batsman, Virat Kohli becomes the fastest player to score 11000 ODI runs surpassing his former team mate Sachin Tendulkar.

India and Pakistan are sweating out their best in the much-anticipated game of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 at Old Trafford. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first in a gloomy condition.

Indian openers smashed the Pakistan bowlers all over the park and added 136 runs for the first wicket before the dismissal of KL Rahul on Wahab Riyaz’s ball. Following him, the skipper Virat Kohli came at no.3 as usual.

Virat Kohli joined with his vice captain and maintained the scoring rate of India in top notch. The Indian skipper went on to register his 92nd fifty plus score in the ODI format when he scored fifty.

The Indian skipper created another big record at Old Trafford when he scored his 57th run of his innings. He became the fastest batsman to reach 11000 runs in the ODI format and he surpassed his former team mate Sachin Tendulkar in the record.

It took only 222 innings for him to reach this landmark while Sachin Tendulkar took 276 innings to reach the landmark which is the second best now. At the end, Indian skipper departed for 77 runs from 65 balls.
