Kohli might not take part in Nidahas Trophy

Indian captain Virat Kohli, who teared apart South Africa at their own den with 2 fifties and 3 hundreds in the ODI series might not play the upcoming Nidahas Trophy in Sri Lanka. The tournament will start on 6th March where hosts Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and India will participate.

The men in blue is still in the tour of South Africa with one T20I still to play. Kohli has led the team from the front throughout the tour and has brought success for the team and he also became the first Indian captain who led the team to their first ever ODI series win in South Africa.

After spending a hectic schedule, according to a report it has been known that Kohli might be rested for the Nidahas Trophy. An unknown source who didn’t want to reveal his identity said to PTI.

The source says: “Kohli will get rest if he wants. It will be only his own decision if he wants to play the tournament or not. But nothing is still decided. He might play the tournament. Because after this tournament, they will get 15 days off and after that IPL will start.”

It is still not known what Kohli’s decision will be. But as the board said Kohli will get rest if he wants, there is a still chance that he will ask for it. But one thing is confirmed, both Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will badly want the man in form batsman to not face in the upcoming tournament.
