Indian captain Virat Kohli and former South Africa batting great AB de Villiers are good friends. They both play for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League and also share a great deal of camaraderie both on and off the cricket field. Recently, AB de Villiers was at his absolute best during the ongoing edition of the Big Bash League.
Brisbane Heat batsman AB de Villiers scored a 37-ball-71 blitzkrieg against Melbourne Stars and helped his team add a valuable 70 runs in the last five overs. It was because of AB de Villiers’ presence, Brisbane Heat were able to post a phenomenal total of 187 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. In reply, Melbourne Stars succumbed to a humiliating defeat as they were bundled out for a paltry 115 in 17.4 over.
AB de Villiers was named the man of the match for his terrific performance. After the match, the batting great shared a post on his micro-blogging platform, Instagram and wrote, “So much fun out there tonight with the boys!
