Kusal Mendis replaces Kusal Perera for T20Is

Sri Lankan left hand batsman Kusal Perera who was included in the 15-man squad for the T20I series has been ruled out due to injury and Kusal Mendis who had an amazing Test series has been called up as replacement. [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ বাংলাদেশের বিপক্ষে পেরেরার বদলি মেন্ডিস]

Perera faced a long six-month layoff after hurting his hamstring during the Champions Trophy in England in June. He returned during the T20 series in India and finished with 100 runs in three innings including a top score of 77 in the second game in Indore.

He scored 130 runs in three innings in the tri-series in Bangladesh with a top score of 80 before being forced to return home early.

Sri Lanka will be also without their skipper Angelo mathews who is also ruled out due to injury. Dinesh Chandimal who led the team back to winning ways in the tri-nation series and also Test series will be looking to do the same in the T20Is too.
