Kusal ruled out; Dhananjaya called up

Sri Lanka didn’t start off well in the tri-nation series with winning only one match and losing two. Though they are still alive in the tournament, but if Zimbabwe beat Bangladesh on Tuesday, then it will be all over for Sri Lanka.

With Sri Lanka’s poor form already something to be worried, they are in with some injury problems too. After playing the first match, skipper Angelo Mathews was ruled out for the rest of the matches due to injury and he has been already sent back to Sri Lanka. He might also miss the Test series against Bangladesh next month.

After losing their captain, Sri Lanka now have lost Kusal Perera too. The left hand batsman will miss the reminder of the series as he suffered a side strain during his innings of 49 in Sri Lanka’s match against Zimbabwe on Sunday. He has been advised to take rest.
