Legend, inspiration, idol – cricketing universe gives Dhoni wishes on his birthday


The former Indian skipper and a crowd favorite, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is celebrating his 37th birthday and there is no surprise that the cricketing world is flooding their wishes for him. He is the only Indian captain who won 50-over World Cup trophy, T20I World Cup trophy and Champions Trophy.

Dhoni, who made his International debut back in 2004, played his 500th International game during the second T20I game against England on June 6. Team India celebrated the birthday of the legend and the former Indian skipper after the game with his wife Sakshi Dhoni and their loving daughter Ziva Dhoni.

Undoubtedly, Dhoni has single-handedly won many matches for the Indian team. There is a reason why he is termed as the captain cool and it was once again proved this year when he won the Indian Premier League (IPL) for his franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was born on 7th July 1981, turns 37 today. While he is at the fag end of his career, he is one of the fittest players in the world. He made his International debut with long hair and led-Indian team to 2007 T20I World Cup, 2011 World Cup and Champions Trophy in 2013.

It is no surprise that the legends of the cricketing fraternity are wishing Dhoni on his special day. The whole country wants the Indian team to win the next year World Cup for the legend MS Dhoni.
