Bangladesh have notched up their final preparations before the Test series against Sri Lanka with a two-day warm-up match in Katunayake.

Mominul Haque’s Team Green replied with 225 in 71 overs to Team Red, led by Tamim Iqbal, on day two. The score too came with Mominul and Liton Das batting for the second time.

Mominul was sent for a duck in the morning before he returned in the second session to make 47 runs. Opener Liton went retired out on 27. He later came back to retire for the second time, on 64 runs.

The other opener Shadman Islam got out on 19 runs. Mohammad Mithun made 28 runs. Tail-end batter Shoriful Islam remained unbeaten on 20 runs.

For the red team, Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets for 41 to follow his 24 not out with the bat. Abu Jayed Rahi and Taijul Islam bagged one wicket each.

Team Red made 314/6 on day one, thanks to half-centuries from Tamim, Saif Hassan, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Bangladesh will play the first Test against Sri Lanka at Pallekele International Stadium from April 21.
