Bangladesh’s young wicket-keeper batsman Litton Kumar Das has left the country to join in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
According to reports revealed, Litton will join in Jamaica Tallawahs’ camp although the competition is running mid-way through. It will, however, be the first foreign franchise league engagement for Litton Das.
On the other hand, ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has also started his journey into the Caribbeans to play for Barbados Tridents who are resting at the fifth position in the point table with four points in two wins. He will replace Nepalese leg spinner Sandeep Lamicchane.
“We have given him the NOC to take part in the CPL. We are expecting him to be available before the preparation for the series against India though we are yet to finalize the date of his return,” said Cricket Operations Committee chairman Akram Khan.
Shakib led Bangladesh in the T20I tri-series consisting of Zimbabwe and Afghanistan. Unfortunately the final of the competition had been washed out due to incessant rainfall; Bangladesh and Afghanistan shared the trophy later.
