In the second match of the tri-nation series, 2018, between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews has won the toss and opted to bowl first.
This is the first match of Sri Lanka in the tri-nation series. Meanwhile Zimbabwe was defeated in the hands of host Bangladesh in their first match by a big margin of 8 wickets on 15 January.
In the last encountered limited over series between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe thrashed the island nation at home claiming a series win.

Chandika Hathurusingha, who abruptly resigned from Bangladesh’s head coach responsibility immediately joined with Sri Lanka; this is, however, the first assignment of Sri Lankan borne Aussie coach.
