Windies have won the toss and elected to bowl first on a grassy track at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound in Antigua. Bangladesh pacer Abu Jayed Rahi has made his Test debut as 88th man for Bangladesh.
Shakib Al Hasan is back as Test captain after seven years. He was appointed as Test captain last December. This is his first assignment after the reappointment. It’s also his first Test in ten months following his rest in South Africa tour and injury during Sri Lanka series.
Bangladesh have picked Mehidy Hasan Miraz as a spinner and three seamers – Abu Jayed, Rubel Hossain and Kamrul Islam Rabbi. Rabbi is back into the Test XI after a year. Liton Das will open the innings with Tamim Iqbal. Nurul Hasan Sohan will keep wickets instead of Liton and Mushfiqur Rahim.
