Mahmudullah-Mushfiq and co move up in ICC Test rankings
After the Test series against Zimbabwe, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah Riyad have moved up in the ICC Test batsman rankings while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam have also moved up in the bowlers rankings.
There are some big changes in the updated ICC Test rankings. After England’s first Test series victory against Sri Lanka since 2001, Jack Leach moved up to 30 places after picking up 8 wickets in the match and he is now on 43rd position while debutant Ajaz Patel of New Zealand who was the match of the match for picking up 6 wickets have entered the rankings with 68th position.
Taijul, who had a memorable Test series against Zimbabwe is now at 27th position while his partner Mehidy is at 28th, both with career-best points and rankings. After scoring his second double hundred, Mushfiqur Rahim went up to 18th position while centurion Mahmudullah Riyad went up 17 spots to 57th position.
Zimbabwe’s Kyle Jarvis also had a successful outing in Bangladesh as he moved up to 19 spots to 40th position. Pakistan’s Hasan Ali also moved up 24 spots to 44th position, which is the best so far in his Test career.
