Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad who was dropped for Bangladesh’s recently concluded two-match Test series against Australia, could be drafted back into Tigers squad for the upcoming South Africa Test [বাংলায় পড়ুনঃ টেস্ট দলে ফিরছেন মাহমুদউল্লাহ!]

According to a member of Bangladesh team management, the selectors considered Mahmudullah’s overseas form and that makes of him ahead of other players.

“We (team management) considered the overseas form of Mahmudullah crucial behind his selection”, a member of team management was quoted as saying on Cricbuzz.

The 32-year middle order batsman had been a regular of Bangladesh Test side before was dropped for Tigers’s historic 100th Test, played in Sri Lanka, owing to lack of form. However his experience playing in foreign conditions is expected to help his inclusion in South Africa.

As Mahmdullah Riyad is under consideration of the team management, all-rounder Nasir Hossain who featured in the two-match Test series at home against Australia, would have his spot under threat. Nasir gathered only 73 runs in the four innings.
