Mahmudullah will pose the biggest threat: Pakistan batsman
But which Bangladeshi cricketer will pose the biggest threat to the Pakistanis during the series? According to Ahsan Ali, it is the Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah Riyad that his side should be wary of.
The uncapped Pakistan batsman made this statement after he was included in Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming series.
“Bangladesh’s team is quite tough, they have improved a lot and have the likes of Mahmudullah who are brilliant batsmen. They have improved in all aspects and they are a world-class team, it will be tough competition. I would like to request [the] fans to come and support us,” Ali told PakPassion.
Ali, now 26 year old, has yet to make his debut in international cricket. But he has the experience of playing 41 T20 games to his credit. So far he has scored 949 runs with five half centuries at an average of 23.72 and a strike-rate of 129.46.
All three matches of the T20I series will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The series will roll onto the ground on January 24. After the conclusion of the T20I series on January 27, the Tigers will return home on January 28, only to go back to Pakistan to play one Test in Rawalpindi from February 7 to 11.
Bangladesh are scheduled to travel to Pakistan once again and play a one-off ODI in Karachi on April 3 before playing the second Test in Karachi from April 5 to 9.
