These two superstars of Bangladesh cricket will be seen to play together after a long while. The last time they played for the same team was during the controversial second season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), in which the duo represented Dhaka Gladiators.

Tamim and Riyad are going to new teams this season. While Prime Bank Cricket Club have all but confirmed Tamim’s inclusion, Riyad is likely to don Gazi Group Cricketers’ jersey.

It has been learnt that Abahani are going to set a very strong team, as they have been trying to rope in cricketers like Liton Das, Taijul Islam, Naim Sheikh, Aminul Islam Biplob, Shahidul Islam and Nazmul Hossain Shanto as well.

Since getting the List A status, this is going to be the 7th edition of DPL, which will roll onto the ground from March 15.

Considered as the biggest 50-over domestic cricket competition of the country, DPL will not include any foreign cricketers this year, in a bid to provide the local cricketers with more opportunities than ever.
