Mashrafe considers Bashar’s every win as two!

Recently, Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has become the most successful captain in the history of Bangladesh surpassing former skipper Habibul Bashar Sumon as he overtook Bashar with 30 wins from 53 matches as captain.

But the 33-year old cricketer does not consider this as a big achievement. “It’s not a big achievement to me. Even I think it was never. It’s a temporary achievement. Sumon had the most number of wins in the pastor now it’s mine,” said Mashrafe.

He added, “If you look at Sumon bhai’s wins, those wins should be considered as double. Because winning was very tough for us in that time. Now our team is doing well. So our aim is to go to the next stage.”

Meanwhile, the veteran Tigers pacer also gave credit to the other captains who led Bangladesh in the past. “Every win is equally important. Even if Bangladesh win a single match under any captain, that’s not less important. Whoever comes next as captain, will have the same importance. My duty is to keep the team on right track and I am just trying to do that.”
