Mashrafe to lead BCB XI in preparation match against Windies

Visiting West Indies will play a limited over warm up match against host Bangladesh before the ODI series.

On Saturday, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the playing eleven of Bangladesh for the match under the captaincy of Mashrafe bin Mortaza.

The match is scheduled to take place on 6th of December at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan Cricket Ground number three at 9.30 in the morning.

The thirteen member squad contains several national team stars like Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar.

With the match, Tamim Iqbal is set to return in field action after long. He is out of the side due to undergoing rehabilitation for the side strain.

The BCB also considered young prospects like Shahin Alam and Mithun Joy in the squad.

Bangladesh are currently engaged in the two match Test series against visiting West Indies. The hosts are one up defeating the Caribbean side by 64 runs in the first match.

Bangladesh Squad: Mashrafe Bin Mortaza (captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Soumya Sarkar, Md Mithun, Tawhid Riday, Ariful Hoque, Akbar Ali, Rubel Hossain, Mithun Joy, Shahin Alam, Mehidy Hasan Rana, and Nazmul Islam Apu.
