Mashrafe’s parents contract coronavirus

Former Bangladesh skipper and parliament member of Bangladesh Government, Mashrafe bin Mortaza’s father Golam Mortaza Swapan and mother Balaka Mortuza have been infected with coronavirus this time. In addition, Mashrafe’s aunt Kamrun Nahar Kuhu and younger brother’s wife Sumaiya Tuha have also been infected with the coronavirus.

It is learned that on Thursday (August 8), Mashrafe’s father Golam Mortaza Swapan, mother Hamida Mortaza, aunt Kamrun Nahar and younger brother Mursalin’s wife Sumaiya Khatun gave samples due to corona symptoms. Later on Friday (August 8) night, their corona positive report came.

Narail Sadar Upazila Juba League president Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the information on Saturday morning. Russell Billah, an official with the Narail Express Foundation, said all four members of the Mashrafe family were receiving treatment at their homes in Narail. They are all healthy.


Earlier, on June 19, Mashrafe tested for coronavirus. The next day the result is positive. He took treatment from home after being infected. Then on 12 July the samples were collected again and on the night of 14 July Covid-19 negative results were found. MP Mashrafe’s wife Sumna Haque and younger brother Morsalin Mortuza were also infected with coronavirus. At present they are healthy.
