OUT! Caught. Rashid Khan to Soumya Sarkar. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, bat-pad to short leg, by Zadran. Who else but that man. When Afghanistan need something special they turn to Rashid and he always delivers. Perfectly bowled on the stumps making Sarkar play and with a hint of turn off the wicket the inside edge is found. Short leg clings on to the ball and the wild celebrations start. What a Test match we have had and a fitting way for Mohammad Nabi to end his red ball career. There have been ups and downs but eventually the best team came out on top. Bangladesh tried everything in the final few overs but nothing was going to stop the Afghans, not even the weather, from clinching victory after they had played so well for the previous four days.Plenty of stand-out performances for them. Not just a maiden century for Rahmat Shah, but an impressive 87 from their young opener Ibrahim Zadran as well as 11 wickets in the match for Rashid Khan. Outstanding game of cricket and Afghanistan have shown they are no pushovers in Tests.

OUT! Caught & Bowled. Mehedi Hasan to Rashid Khan. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled back to bowler, by Miraz. Good way to end the innings for Bangladesh. Smart return catch from Mehedi as Rashid Khan attempts to pop the ball over his head for a single but can't get the elevation. Brilliant stuff from the visitors all round. Their highest ever Test score to go along with a century from Rahmat Shah and fifties from Asghar Afghan and Rashid. One good thing is that the wicket doesn't look too bad at the moment so batting should be relatively easy once the batsmen get in and settled.

SIX! Taijul Islam to Rashid Khan. Stock length ball, to leg down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Wonderful strike for six. Plenty of fielders waiting for the mis-hit but all they can do is stand and watch it sail into the crowd.

OUT! Caught. Shakib Al Hasan to Yamin Ahmadzai. Stock length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, inside edge to first slip, by Sarkar. Exactly what the review system is there for. Bangladesh knew there was a clear inside edge onto the pad and Shakib reviewed it immediately once he realised the umpire wasn't giving it out. Just the one wicket remaining for Afghanistan, how many can Rashid Khan muster?

OUT! Caught. Shakib Al Hasan to Qais Ahmad. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, inside edge to silly point, by Haque. As simple as silly point catches come. Popped up off the pad, via the inside edge, and Mominul makes no mistakes. Clever bowling from Shakib taking all the pace off the ball and getting it to drift into the batsman.

SIX! Taijul Islam to Rashid Khan. Stock length ball, off stump down the track Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. OUT! Caught. Taijul Islam to Asghar Afghan. Stock length ball, middle stump on the front foot slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to short leg, by Rahim. The pressure proved to be too much for Afghan. Three dot balls in a row as Taijul found his line and length and the batsman tried to upset his rhythm. Didn't work as the ball bounced and collided with the top edge. Wasted a glorious opportunity for a century.

SIX! Mehedi Hasan to Afsar Zazai. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. OUT! Bowled. Nayeem Hasan to Mohammad Nabi. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot defending, missed to. Second in the over. OUT! Caught. Mahmudullah to Hashmatullah Shahidi. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, outside edge to first slip, by Sarkar. Sharp catch at first slip. Hashmatullah was surprised by the extra pace on the ball as it fizzed onto him and found the edge. Sarkar had to be on top of his game to keep his eyes on the ball and take it in.That ends the morning session, which after the late wicket belongs to Bangladesh. Three wickets all falling to spin with the Afghanistan batsmen unable to find any rhythm to their batting. Tough session and there will be many more questions asked of the visitors in the afternoon.

OUT! Caught. Taijul Islam to Ibrahim Zadran. Stock length ball, off stump down the track driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Mahmudullah. The big shots have been coming in the last few overs but this wasn't great batting. Long off had been in place waiting for a catch and he was picked out perfectly. At this stage of the game when the partnership was building the lofted shot was not required.

OUT! Bowled. Taijul Islam to Ihsanullah. Stock length ball, to leg on the front foot defending, missed to. What a delivery this is. Pitching on or around leg stump and spinning past the outside of the bat. Middle stump takes the hit as Bangladesh pick up their first wicket of the morning.

Went down to leave it before realising that the ball is coming into him but by then it was too late. Struck on the front pad and DRS confirms the decision by the umpire.Bangladesh all out for 205 which gives Afghanistan a lead of 137 which is very handy on this surface. With plenty of time left in the match there is no pressure on the batsmen coming in so they can take their time and build an innings.

OUT! Bowled. Mohammad Nabi to Taijul Islam. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Slog, missed to. Very unnecessary from Taijul. SIX! Mohammad Nabi to Mosaddek Hossain. Off break length ball, outside off stump down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over long on for 6 runs. Finishes the over in style. OUT! Bowled. Rashid Khan to Mahmudullah. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the back foot working, missed to. Rashid Khan is on fire. His fourth wicket in just over seven overs. Little lucky on this occasion with the ball keeping low but the straight line is always going to cause trouble if the pitch does something out of the ordinary.

W
OUT! Caught. Rashid Khan to Mushfiqur Rahim. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the back foot defending, to short leg, by Zadran. How unfortunate can you be? Played with soft hands and an angled bat to take the ball into the floor but Rahim's foot has got in the way and popped it up to short leg. Soft signal was out so the third umpire needs to find evidence to prove either way. Nothing conclusive so the decision will have to stay as out.Another session in which Afghanistan have dominated proceedings. Four wickets taken and they could have had a couple more had they used their reviews better. Another session like that and Afghanistan will have a very handy lead at the close of play.

OUT! L.B.W. Rashid Khan to Shakib Al Hasan. Leg spinner length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Struck plumb in front. OUT! Bowled. Rashid Khan to Liton Das. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, bottom edge to. It doesn't take Rashid long to strike. SIX! Zahir Khan to Liton Das. Left-Arm Leg Spin length ball, to leg on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Over the fielders head. Dangerous tactic from Das to take him on but he had confidence and managed to find the middle of the bat.

OUT! Caught. Yamin Ahmadzai to Shadman Islam. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Zazai. Perfect start with the ball. Shadman, playing for the ball that comes back into him, except this one carries on its original line. Healthy edge to the keeper who takes it inches off the ground.

OUT! Caught. Mehedi Hasan to Zahir Khan. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, mis-timed to silly point, by Haque. One ball into his spell and Mehedi strikes. Gets the number 11 pushing forward with hard hands and the ball pops up to silly point.First job done by Bangladesh without giving away too many runs this morning. They still require a huge total of 398 if they are to win the match.

OUT! Run Out. Shakib Al Hasan to Afsar Zazai. Stock length ball, off stump on the back foot pushing, to extra cover, fielded by Das, by Rahim. Mix-up between the two batsmen. This was always on the cards as Zazai looked to keep the strike. Non-striker was late in responding to the call and that is all the fielder needed to get the throw in to the keeper.

SIX! Taijul Islam to Yamin Ahmadzai. Stock length ball, middle stump down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over long off for 6 runs. All the Bangladesh batsmen have used their feet superbly and that is no different from the number 10. Every run makes the chase harder and harder for Bangladesh.

OUT! L.B.W. Shakib Al Hasan to Qais Ahmad. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Slid on and thuds into the back pad. That is the bonus of having a new ball for the spinner. Reviewed as it is very close to the edge but nothing shown on the replay. Clipping the side of leg stump so the out decision stands.

OUT! Bowled. Taijul Islam to Rashid Khan. Stock ball half volley, middle stump on the front foot driving, missed to. Sneaks past the bat as the ball straightens and rips into off stump. Good sign for the spinners but not something you want to see as a Bangladeshi top-order batsman.

OUT! Caught. Mehedi Hasan to Mohammad Nabi. Off break length ball, off stump on the front foot sweeping, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to backward square leg, by Haque. Nabi's final innings as a batsman in Tests. Paddles it around the corner but straight to the man at backward square leg.

SIX! Mehedi Hasan to Mohammad Nabi. Off break length ball, down leg side down the track Slog, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. Showing his intent early. OUT! Caught. Nayeem Hasan to Ibrahim Zadran. Off break length ball, middle stump down the track Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long on, by Haque. Desperately unfortunate for the youngster. A maiden century was there for the taking but he has given it away with only 13 runs to go. He could have become the fourth youngest but instead he is walking back after picking out long on.

OUT! Caught. Taijul Islam to Asghar Afghan. Stock length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, bat-pad to leg slip, by Al Hasan. The change in angle finally pays off. Extra bounce and trying to play against the spin both worked against him. Looped up off the pad and into the hands of Shakib who was lurking around the corner. A much needed breakthrough.

SIX! Taijul Islam to Ibrahim Zadran. Stock length ball, down leg side down the track driving, well timed in the air under control over deep extra cover for 6 runs. Shot of the day and maybe even of the game. Dancing down the track against an awkward angle yet managing to get outside the line and hit with the spin over cover. OUT! Caught & Bowled. Shakib Al Hasan to Rahmat Shah. Stock length ball, outside off stump down the track defending, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled back to bowler, by Al Hasan. Two in two. What a start this has been from Shakib and how quickly do things change. The centurion from the first innings is gone first ball, chipping a tame return catch to the bowler. Didn't get to the pitch and with an angled bat there was only one way this was going to end.

OUT! L.B.W. Shakib Al Hasan to Ihsanullah. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Goes on with the arm. Nice set up from Shakib after two wider floaty deliveries before the straighter one which is a touch flatter. Strikes the front pad and this looks plumb.

OUT!

OUT! L.B.W. Rashid Khan to Taijul Islam. Googly half volley, to leg on the front foot defending, inside edge to. Rashid strikes again. To a new batsman he is deadly with his variations and Taijul had no chance. There could have been some bat involved but as Bangladesh have wasted both of their reviews Taijul is going to have to go.
