Mathews ruled out of Nidahas Trophy

It seems like injury doesn’t want to leave the Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews as he is set to miss yet another series due to injury.

Mathews, who became the captain once again before the start of the tri-nation series was able to play one match in the tournament as he suffered an injury which ruled him out of the rest of the series and also the Bangladesh series.

Sri Lanka waited on to know Mathews’ situation before announcing the squad of Nidahas Trophy but on Tuesday, it has been confirmed that Mathews can’t feature in the upcoming series due to the calf injury.
