Shahid, who is regarded mainly as a Test bowler in national set-up for his ability to bowl long spells at the same spot, came up with some good variety under his sleeves in the tournament that is said to be the reason behind his success. He said, ‘I want to take 25 to 30 wickets, I am looking forward towards it. Now let’s see where and how far I can reach.
He also expressed his disappointment as Dynamites fielders missed four catches off his bowling so far in the tournament, otherwise he said his tally would be even higher. ‘Certainly it is disappointing,’ said Shahid. ‘Eighteen wickets from seven matches certainly would have been a huge achievement. Even if two of them were taken still it would have been good,’ he said.

‘But there is no use of thinking about it and I am looking forward towards the upcoming days,’ he said.  Shahid, who took bulk of responsibility to lead Dynamites so far by providing crucial breakthroughs, was however not successful in their last two defeats respectively against Khulna Titans and Rajshahi Kings.

The 28-year old is aware of poor show in two recent Dynamites defeats and said he would be trying to pick up the momentum when they start their campaign in their home ground. Shahid who played five Tests and Twenty20 international for Bangladesh but missed the recent home series against England through injury, said that he is enjoying his time in the Dynamites, ‘I think there are many top class bowlers in our side. I just want to continue performing in the same manner and contribute towards our success’.
