Michael Hussey picks all time best IPL XI
Former Australian cricketer and current Chennai Super Kings batting coach Michael Hussey is undoubtedly one of the greatest players played in Indian premier League (IPL). He picked a ‘Fearsome IPL XI’ while Speaking to Chetan Narula in a chat on his YouTube channel.
The former Australian has named MS Dhoni as the skipper of the side. He was also many memorable matches for CSK, under MS Dhoni. The former Australian is often seen to praise MS Dhoni for his captaincy skills.
Hussey picked a side full of stalwarts in his ‘Fearsome IPL XI’. For the opening slot, he picked Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner.
Rohit is one of the most consistent hitters with 4898 runs while David Warner scored 4706 runs which is highest by a foreign player.
Hussey selected Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli at number three and his partner-in-crime AB de Villiers for the fourth spot.
Kohli is the leading run-scorer in the lucrative league with 5412 runs to his name in 177 matches. On the other hand, De Villiers has amassed 4395 runs third-most run-scorer amongst overseas.
Hussey picked Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni, MI all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) biggest match-winner Andre Russell for the next consecutive 3 spots.Husse placed MS Dhoni after that and made Dhoni the captain of his team.
The Western Australian went with two spinners Rashid Khan and Yuzvendra Chahal as the spinners.While he picked two seamers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah for the pace attack. The Aussie also picked the 12th man in KL Rahul.
