Miraz captains Rajshahi Kings to first win
In the clash of two bottom most teams of the point table, Khulna Titans have lost against Rajshahi Kings on Wednesday.
Mehedi Hasan Miraz’s aptitude as a captain has been tested in the crunch encounter where he successfully propelled his team towards victory against Khulna Titans after they were heavily defeated by Dhaka Dynamites in the first match of the season.
Miraz having fruitful collaboration with Mominul Haque ensured no damage done after the Kings lost Mohammad Hafeez in the second over. Mominul was dismissed by Stirling by the time Rajshahi Kings already touched 100 runs in chase of 117 while Miraz ensued the half century before getting off uprooted by Zahir Khan.
In the morning of the match, Isuru Udana and Mustafizur Rahman punched back to Khulna Titan’s decision of batting first.
Simultaneously they produced the breakthroughs allowing the Titans not to stand back in their innings. Udana and Mustafizur shared five wickets in between them to restrict the opposition within 117 runs.
Junaid Siddique scored highest for the Titans; he added 23 followed by Dawid Malan’s 22.
For Khulna Titans, this is the third successive defeat in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019.
