Miraz rises to No.2 in ODI rankings
Mehidy Hasan Miraz has gained three places up to career-best No.2 in ICC Men’s ODI bowling rankings.
Off-spinner Miraz played crucial roles in Bangladesh’s wins over Sri Lanka in the second and third ODIs where he took 4/30 and 3/28 respectively. He has gained 57 points and is now on 725 points, 12 points behind No.1 Trent Boult (737).
Before, only two Bangladeshi bowlers – Shakib Al Hasan (No.1) and Abdur Razzak (No.2) – have been on the top-two in men’s ODI bowling rankings.
Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has jumped eight places to 9th position (652) after picking two three-wicket hauls in the series.

Dushmantha Chameera (11 places up) and Wanindu Hasaranga (8 places up) are jointly holding 61st position in bowling rankings.
Mushfiqur Rahim, who played match-winning knocks of 84 and 125 across the two games, is now at his career-best position – 14th with 739 points. Mahmudullah Riyad goes two places up to 38th.
Among the all-rounders, Shakib might have lost points but still holds the No.1 title (396 points), well above next-best Ben Stokes (295). Shakib is ranked 18th among bowlers and 29th among batters.
