Mishra reveals his plan of getting Hardik’s wicket
Delhi Capitals (DC) spinner Amit Mishra has said that he’s always looking for wickets in T20s which helps him to perform better. Mishra registered a match-winning bowling figure (4-0-24-4) last night against the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in Chennai.
DC won the match by 6-wicket which was pretty satisfaction for them as they lost 4 out of 4 against the same opponent last season.
“I always think about the wickets. Was little bit holding there, just trying to bowl in the right areas. I feel whenever you bowl in T20s, you just take wickets, then you put the opposition team under pressure,” Mishra said in the post-match interview.
“I never change my bowling, I try to bowl to my strengths. I always think about variations not change in pace,” he added.
He also revealed his plan of bowling to attacking Hardik Pandya. “Whenever he (Hardik Pandya) comes, I’ll go for a wicket. I just tossed it up, went for the wicket and got it. With the batting attack we have, I think we can chase it but we have to bat smartly. My job is finished, Ricky Ponting’s job will start now,” the leg-spinner said.
The 38-year old Mishra was successful too as he took the wicket of Pandya sending the batsman at golden duck. It should be mentioned that, Mishra’s bowling figure is the best till now in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) against MI by a DC bowler.
