Mominul praises BDCricTime’s picture
A picture of Bangladesh Test captain Mominul Haque during the recently concluded lone Test against Zimbabwe went viral, in which the batsman was seen taking instuctions from the three coaches of the side.
The three coaches with whom Mominul was in a conversation were Russell Domingo, Daniel Vettori and Ottis Gibson. The beautiful moment was captured by BDCricTime’s photographer Atiqul Aleem and it presented a unique view as if a disciple is modestly taking order from his masters.
While the internet community was full of praise for the picture and made several memes with it, the picture caught attention of the cricketer Mominul as well. Like others, he too was quite impressed with it, and appreciated the photographer’s work during post-match press conference on Tuesday (February 25).
When asked about the click, Mominul said: “It was a very ordinary issue. I don’t know who captured the moment, but he did it quite well.”
Mominul also revealed which instruction he was receiving from the coaching staff, “There was a little message. It was like who will bowl from which end, where the fielder will stand. So as you see the moment, everyone was agreeing with the plan. Of course credit goes to whoever took the shot, Ma-Sha-Allah.”
To be noted, Bangladesh picked up an innings and 106-run victory in the match over Zimbabwe with Mushfiqur Rahim elected as the Man of the Match for his incredible double hundred. Mominul too hit a ton, scoring 132 off 234 balls.
