Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced 15-member squad for three-match T20 International series against Afghanistan in Dehradun, India. Mosaddek Hossain, who last played a T20I 14 months ago, has returned to the squad.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed, top-order batsman Imrul Kayes and wicket-keeper Nurul Hasan Sohan have been dropped from the squad. Meanwhile, new comers Nazmul Islam Apu, Abu Hider Rony, Ariful Haque and Abu Jayed Rahi have held their places in the team.
Liton Das and Sabbir Rahman showed form in some of the matches in Nidahas Trophy. The selectors have kept their faith on them.
The team will be led by Shakib Al Hasan, who guided Bangladesh to Nidahas Trophy final in Sri Lanka. Tamim Iqbal is also in the squad after recovering from injury. Mehidy Hasan Miraz is back from injury as well.
Bangladesh players apart form Shakib and Mustafizur Rahman, who are playing IPL, are having camp in Dhaka. The Tigers will leave for India on May 29th. The matches will be played at newly built Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Dehradun.
Afghanistan are ahead of Bangladesh in T20I rankings. The Afghans are placed at No.8 with 85 points. Bangladesh are ranked tenth with 75 points. Sri Lanka are No.9 with 82 points. In order to make improvement in the ranks, the Tigers must need to win by 3-0. That will take them to No.9 and Afghanistan No.10.
