Mosaddek returned home due to his mother’s illness


The teammates already reached Indore for the two-match Test series against India but Mossadek Hossain returned home immediately after the T20 series. It was confirmed that the all-rounder had immediate return to Dhaka because family emergency.

However, it was not fully clear that why he came back to home in such hurry. Mosaddek cleared the whole incident through social media on Monday. He was unable to come to Indore from Nagpur yesterday due to his mother’s illness. Her mother, Hosne ara Begum is serious sick and currently Mosaddek is staying beside her mother.

He confirmed the news in his verified Facebook page and asked all to pray for his mother’s betterment.

“Hopefully, everyone can realize now why I am coming back from India. My mother’s liver is not working properly and need emergency operation. Please, everyone keeps my mother in your prayers. Cricket and Bangladesh team are always integral part of my life. Love for all of my well-wishers,”

he wrote on his Facebook page.

However, national selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said his departure is temporary. He will join the team at the end of her mother’s operation. He said, “His (Mosaddek) mother is ill. The operation will take place immediately. Hopefully he’ll finish the job soon and join the team.”

But his departure says he may not play the first Test. The remaining fourteen players of the Test squad reached Indore from Nagpur at noon on Monday. The first test will begin there next Thursday on November 14.
