Mosaddek to fly back home due to family emergency, first Test in doubt

The teammates are going to Indore for the two-match Test series against India but Mossadek Hossain is to return home. Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain will come back to Dhaka immediately because of a family emergency, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources confirmed on Sunday.

However, It was not reported when Mossadek would return to India.

Eight players are scheduled to travel from Nagpur to Delhi at the end of the T20 series. From there, they can reach Dhaka by 9:15 pm local time. Mosaddek will return home with them in urgent need.

Rabeed Imam, media manager of Bangladesh team, said that Mosaddek was returning home urgently for the family need. A total of eight cricketers, including Mossadek Hossain, will leave Nagpur at 1 pm for Delhi. From there, players will arrive in Bangladesh. The eight cricketers are: Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Naim Sheikh, Afif Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Abu Hider Rony, Shafiul Islam, Soumya Sarkar and Aminul Islam Biplob. Among these eight players, only Mosaddek is part of the Test squad.

The remaining fourteen players will leave for Indore from Nagpur at noon on Monday. The first test will begin there next Thursday on November 14. The second and final test will begin on November 22 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
