MS Dhoni omitted from BCCI’s central contract
BCCI have announced a 27-member list of central contract awardees for the 2019-20 season by the BCCI where wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has been omitted from the list.
Former India captain and wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni has been away from international cricket since India’s World Cup semifinal exit to New Zealand at Old Trafford. He was on Category A in 2018-19 in the national contract of India.
However, he has been omitted from the 27-man list for the 2019-20 season by the BCCI. Dhoni also didn’t give any clue about his upcoming plan and he is likely to make his return through the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Virat Kohli, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma have been handed Grade A+ (INR 7 cr). The trio played exceptionally well for India last year. Bumrah has been the best bowlers in all three formats of the game.
