Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is now out of cricketing action for a while now and he was last seen playing for the team in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.

Following India’s exit from the tournament, as they got eliminated by New Zealand in the semi-finals, MS Dhoni took a sabbatical as he made himself unavailable for team selection for 2 months, spending 15 days serving the Indian Army in Kashmir.

In the latest development, it very much appears like the Indian selectors have had a close word with MS Dhoni over his future in international cricket. With the primary focus on the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2020, the selectors have shown interest in Rishabh Pant.

BCCI announced squad for T20I series against South Africa and shockingly, MS Dhoni was not picked. However, MS Dhoni is geared up to make alternate plans for his future after cricket and Bollywood seems to be the final destination for Captain Cool.

MS Dhoni’s biopic, which hit the screens in 2016 proved to be a blockbuster. Now the latest rumours suggest MS Dhoni may join hands with his friend and Bollywood actor John Abraham for his first project and there is no official confirmation yet.

“Films have always interested in Dhoni. He is a huge movie buff. When Neeraj Pandey made the biopic on the superstar-cricketer, he got a chance to observe the entertainment industry up close, and he loved it.

He was waiting for an opportune time to take the plunge,” a source was quoted as saying by Deccan Chronicle.

According to the sources, MS Dhoni has already been working in some projects which he thinks can pull off something spectacular and also he wishes to produce them in collaboration with media houses in the film industry.
