BCCI, though, is yet to make any official confirmation on the IPL 2020 schedule and the schedule for the knockouts is also not announced.

According to reports, while the opening match of the season will be played on March 29 and Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium, the final is slated to be on May 24. The last match of the league phase will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on May 17.

All eight teams will play seven home matches at their respective home venues this season.

Except for Rajasthan Royals, all other teams have retained their home bases. The Royals have been offered two home venues — Guwahati and Jaipur — as options as the Rajasthan High Court is yet to decide on a PIL filed on the matter.

The cash-rich tournament is also done away with Saturday double-headers, which leads to adding another week to the league phase of the competition. There will be only three matches on weekends with double-headers now only limited to Sundays.

As a result of this, as compared to 44 days from last year, this year’s IPL group phase will strecth across 50 days.

Evening matches will start at 8pm IST, while afternoon matches will start at 4pm IST.

Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore have shared their league phase schedules.
