Former Sri Lankan legendary right-arm spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has been hospitalized after being reported with some heart issues. He is admitted to Apollo hospital Chennai where he is currently staying along with the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad.

The former Sri Lankan cricketer is serving as the bowling mentor of the franchise led by Australian southpaw batsman David Warner. Muralitharan has been in the bubble of the franchise and now he has been hospitalized due to cardiology issues. The exact issue and the current status are not known till now.

The early reports are suggesting that he went through angioplasty. It is said that an official press release from the hospital will come in a while. Notably, the former cricketer celebrated his birthday yesterday.
