Former Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s biopic was on the cards and was titled as 800. A few days ago the former cricketer himself and the Indian actor Vijay Sethupathi, who is playing the role of Muralitharan released the first look and motion poster of the film.

Since then there has been mixed opinion on the film, especially among the Tamil speaking people around the world. There have been some political accusations on the former Sri Lankan cricketer regarding the civil war that happened in Sri Lanka.

There have been many oppositions for the film and requests to the actor Vijay Sethupathi to walk out of the film. The actor was silent and Muttiah Muralitharan released an official statement on this matter and looked for support from the people. But the story remained the same among the people.

As a result, today (on October 19) the former Sri Lankan cricketer himself released a media statement and said that he is releasing the Tamil actor from the film. “There should be no obstacles for Vijay Sethupathi in the future,” the former spinner said on the statement.
