Mushfiqur hit by ball in head, taken to hospital Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim has been taken into hospital after suffering a blow in the head during the post lunch session of the third day of the second and last Test against South Africa in Bloemfontein. Mushfiqur was on 11 runs when a Duanne Olivier bouncer hit in his head although he attempted to duck. Although Mushfiqur was not immediately grounded by the blow, he looked tormented and fall on his knees.

After the primary treatment in the field, Mushfiqur was taken to the hospital. Medical doctor of the South African camp Mohammad Moosajee advised him to take rest but the Bangladesh skipper returned to his batting position and continued for 40 more minutes.

It was the second time Mushfiqur Rahim had been struck in the head. In the earlier part of the year, he went through a similar incident against New Zealand and was taken to the hospital as well.
