Mushfiqur thanks Aussies

Mushfiqur confident of series victoryDue to many showed reasons Australia had declined or postponed Bangladesh tours several times. So Australia team visiting Bangladesh for cricket had been a matter of dream for us even though we developed ourselves much in the meantime.

But this time apart from all the complications, Australia finally have completed their cricketing tour here in Bangladesh, for which they are thanked by captain Mushfiqur Rahim.

Thursday after the final and second match of the Test series in a press meeting, Mushfiqur thanked them.

He said, “A heartiest thanks to team Australia for coming and playing here. Probably they didn’t predict that they would have to fight this hard.”

Mushfiqur Rahim thinks this series as a source of experience and confidence. He recalls his memories by saying, “Our boys have done very well specially in first match. We were on a good position always. Lastly we have won series in Test here at home against England by defeating them.”

“If we can have the chance to play more matches against teams like Australia or England we can learn a lot. We have watched Lyon’s bowling, Warner’s batting and overall performance of the team from which we should learn many things for next series of us in South Africa or Sri Lanka’s tour here in Bangladesh. If we can continue the momentum I hope in future we will achieve more,” Tiger skipper said.

Though team Bangladesh had always been confident but Mushfiqur didn’t think of winning the first match that easily.

He expressed, “I didn’t think that it would be this easy to grab win against Australia, this achievement is big. It was tough for us, we have played Test match in home ground after 8/9 months.”

Mushfiqur also expressed regret by saying, “We lost the last match for second innings due to our mistakes. Still making a series drawn against Australia is much for us. But I feel regret for the last match. A bit better playing could give as another win. Next time we will try to avoid mistakes like this.”
