On Thursday, chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu told AFP that the 32-year old called him to inform his unwillingness to visit Pakistan to participate in the the forthcoming series.

“Mushfiq(ur) rang me today to inform that he will not go to Pakistan. We are now waiting for his formal letter. Once he does that, we will leave him out of the series,”

chief selector told.

Bangladesh are scheduled to play three Twenty20 internationals, two Tests and one one-day international in Pakistan between January and April.

However the chief selector said they are likely to announce the squad for the series in a day or two.

Bangladesh, after an array of refusal to tour Pakistan has finally agreed to make through the bilateral series in three time segments. It would complete the full series eventually.

International cricket has meanwhile returned to Pakistan in the last four years in gradual basis in the wake of the terrorist attack on Sri Lanka team bus in March 2009.

Bangladesh are already out of service from star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan who has been suspended for not informing several corrupt approaches.
