According to reports revealed, the ‘cutter master’ will be out of action for at least two weeks following the injury.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Debashish Chowdhury said,

“The X-ray reports of Mustafizur show good signs. To recover from the stress, he will be rested for a couple of weeks.”

About the rehabilitation of the 23-year old pacer, BCB physician said, “We want to proceed cautiously. Within this time, the tape that tapped in his leg will be changed several times.”

Mustafizur suffered a blow in his left leg while playing in the 2018 Indian Premier League. The extent of injury, are however, less from the previous occasion.

About taking fourteen days for rehabilitation, Debashish Chowdhury said that the cricket authorities are not willing to take any risks as the mega ICC event is closing in.

“Perhaps we will consume less time if it happened before but now as the World Cup is in near, we want to assure his total fitness,” he said.

It is, therefore, vital for Bangladesh to have Mustafizur Rahman to be fully fit during the World Cup in England and Wales starting from the next month because of pacers tend to dominate in English summer
