Mustafizur, Tamim likely to return in Dhaka phase of BPL-5Half dozens of matches of the fifth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League have completed, yet two of the top most international performers of the country Tamim Iqbal Khan and Mustafizur Rahman are to start their actions. Both of them, after being sent home from South Africa tour on account of injuries, are still running amidst rehabilitation process. It is now reported, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman have high possibility to return in the opening of Dhaka phase of BPL.

On Tuesday, Rajshahi Kings’ authority informed about the condition of Mustafizur in a press briefing. They said, “Mustafizur joined in the practice camp of Rajshahi Kings on 8th November. He is in a good condition now after completing the rehabilitation program.”

“The Rajshahi Kings authority, hereby ensuring that anything harmful to Mustafizur’s fitness will be strictly restricted because he is an asset of the country. So we have prioritized his well-being,” they said.

On the other hand, Comilla Victorians’ head coach Mohammad Salahuddin ushered hopes of having Tamim Iqbal from the beginning of the Dhaka phase.

He said, “We are not really forcing Tamim to do anything. The decision of returning in the field action is totally upon him. He can play whenever he wishes to. We are hoping to have him in the Dhaka phase; we actually don’t want to take any risk in this regard.”

Tamim Iqbal is the icon and captain of Comilla Victorians. But in his absence, the franchise authorities have positioned Afghan recruit Mohammad Nabi as stand in skipper.
