Nasir hits maiden double ton

Rangpur Division’s Nasir brought up his maiden double ton in the final session of day three’s play at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. He took 340 balls to reach the milestone.
The right-hander came to bat at number five in the first innings in reply to Sylhet’s 275. Rangpur were struggling at 29 for 4 in 7.5 overs. He steadied the ship and added 78 runs with Dhiman Ghosh. Nasir scored his fifty in 73 balls.
At the stroke of day two’s play, he brought up his fifth first-class century in 132 balls by spending 173 minutes. He finished on 105 not out at the stumps.
In day three, Nasir had a partnership of 146 runs with Suhrawadi Shuvo, who scored 78, for the seventh wicket. His 150 came in 255 balls, first time he reached this milestone in first-class cricket.
Number ten batsman Sajedul Islam assisted him. After the tea break, Nasir reached his double hundred. His innings ended at 201 runs off 343 deliveries hitting 24 fours and 3 sixes. He spent 495 minutes in the crease. His 201 is the first double century of this NCL season.
Rangpur declared at 398 for 9 in 119 overs, taking a lead of 126 runs in the first innings.
