Neesham gives amusing advice to KXIP skipper KL Rahul

There was a lot of drama in the third and final ODI as compared to the initial two ODIs between New Zealand and India. During the last ODI at Bay Oval, the cricket fraternity saw KL Rahul engaging in a funny banter with his Kings XI Punjab teammate Jimmy Neesham.

Meanwhile, the on-field umpire thought this is not good and had to intervene both of them before things could turn ugly on the field. However, they weren’t meant to cross the line as they were only trying to have a chat in a friendly manner because both the players share the same dressing room at Kings XI Punjab.

New Zealand beat India by five wickets to complete an ODI series whitewash against India, which was the first time that Black Caps inflicted ODI series whitewash against India in 31 years. Besides this, KL Rahul’s banter with Jimmy Neesham was the talking point on and off the field.

After the match, the Kiwi bowler Jimmy Neesham posted an image of KL Rahul and himself having a chat with each other on Twitter. Neesham couldn’t have come up with a better caption as he hilariously captioned: ‘Paper, scissors, rock?’

Meanwhile, a fan asked Jimmy Neesham if he had actually sledged Lokesh Rahul or if it was the other way around. However, Neesham conceded that there was no sledging involved and it was only a banter between the two. “Just a bit of banter. Nobody crossed the line 😂,” Neesham tweeted.

Neesham, who will be playing under KL Rahul’s captaincy with Kings XI Punjab in the upcoming IPL, then gave a piece of advice to his skipper. “Don’t forget to save some runs for April aye @klrahul11 ? 👏,” he tweeted.

KL Rahul has been in subtle form since the start of the tour. He was the pick of the batsmen for India in the final ODI as he scored his fourth century.
