Neesham’s hilarious reply to fan’s “Mumbai has more population than NZ” tweet

With the last COVID-19 patient discharged at the hospital and with no other virus infections across the country, New Zealand government on Monday announced that it was lifting all domestic restrictions due to the nation’s historic success in containing the coronavirus.

Yes, the South Pacific nation has no more active COVID-19 cases which is indeed a massive achievement. While citizens celebrated the victory, New Zealand cricketer also joined the bandwagon and tweeted “those great Kiwi attributes”.

There were many congratulatory replies to the cricketer’s post. While things were going super good, one user pulled Jimmy Neesham’s leg by chipping in with a piece of demography information to the New Zealand cricketer.

“Coronavirus free NZ! Congratulations everyone. Once again those great kiwi attributes: planning, determination and teamwork do the job,” tweeted Neesham.

A Twitter user, responding to Jimmy Neesham’s post, wrote: “You have a population of 4 million. Mumbai has more population than nz.”

In reply, Jimmy Neesham came up with a hilarious reaction to the tweet.

Though strict border controls will remain in place across the country, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern added that restrictions like social distancing and limits on public gatherings were no longer needed.

“We are confident we have eliminated transmission of the virus in New Zealand for now,” she said in a televised address, saying Kiwis had “united in unprecedented ways to crush the virus”.

It has been learnt that there have been no new infections for 17 days and until Monday, only one active case for more than a week.
