New Zealand move up, Pakistan slip down to seventh in ICC Test rankings

After the disastrous series against New Zealand, the men in green have slipped down to seventh position in the latest ICC Test rankings while the Kiwis move to fourth.

New Zealand clinched the 3-match Test series 2-1 and earned their first away series win against Pakistan after 49 years. And it has turned the tables of the ICC Test rankings too.

Kiwis started the series with same points (102) as Australia and after the series win, they have been rewarded 3 points which takes them to the fourth position and they are now only 1 point behind South Africa.

Meanwhile, the hosts Pakistan started the series with 95 points and lost 3 points after the series defeat which took them down to seventh. Sri Lanka are now ahead of them with only one point.

The ICC Test rankings will be updated once again after the end of the two-match Test series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, which starts next month. If New Zealand whitewash the struggling Sri Lanka, they will move to the second position with 109 points while Sri Lanka will drop down once again to seventh.
