New Zealand open 100 bottles of wine after winning Test against India
New Zealand star batsman Ross Taylor played 100th Test match of his career at the Wellington Basin Reserve against India. As the first cricketer in cricket history, the Kiwi batsman has been memorable with a rare record of playing hundred matches in all three formats of the game.
Taylor is the 4th New Zealand player to feature in 100 Tests after Stephen Fleming, Daniel Vettori and Brendon McCullum.
New Zealand won the match by a huge margin of 10 wickets and gave Taylor a perfect gift in his 100th Test match. With that win, they also registered 100th Test win in their history. They achieved that feet in their 441th match.
The Kiwis celebrated their 100th Test win by opening 100 bottles of wine.
Taylor also posted a photo of a bottle of wine on Instagram on social media rejoicing to get down to his 100th Test and win the team’s hundredth test. And the caption says, “One down, only 99 to go. Great to have some help with it from the team after a special Test win at the Basin Reserve.”
