No joy for Tigers in last 21 series

Bangladesh have been growing as a powerful side in the recent years. Performances in the golden year 2015 showed exactly that. But they have taken a big step back. In last 21 series and tournaments, they haven’t managed to win any.

Bangladesh’s last win in any series was against Afghanistan in the ODIs in 2016. However, that was a 2-1 win. Since then, they haven’t managed to win any of the 21 affairs. 17 of them were bilateral series. They drew five series and lost 12.

The men in red and green were second in Ireland tri-nation series and semifinalists of Champions Trophy in England. They were runners-up in tri-series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka (ODI) at home and against India and Sri Lanka (T20I) in Sri Lanka this year.

The streak extended when they lost to Afghanistan by a shocking margin of 0-3 in June. The Test series was also won by the Windies.

Bangladesh are currently level 1-1 with the Windies in the ODI series. The series-deciding match is set to take place in St Kitts. If they lose or the match is abandoned, the streak will move to 22.
