No place for Ravindra Jadeja in Aakash Chopra’s Indian squad for WC 2019

Ravindra Jadeja

The exciting event, the ICC Cricket World Cup is all set to be played this year. With the tournament is around the corner, all teams have started figuring out the perfect combination for the mega tournament.

The Indian team is arguably one of the favourites of the upcoming Cricket World Cup which is scheduled to be played in England. Even though they are the strongest team, they have a lot of problems in the squad.

While other teams are struggling to find in-form players, the Men in Blue has a lot of players who have been in tremendous form. It is not an easy task for the team management to finalize the final 15 for the World Cup.

But, the former Indian cricketer, Aakash Chopra leaves out Ravindra Jadeja to welcome Rishabh Pant in the squad. He also mentioned that Khaleel Ahmed deserves a chance. Aakash Chopra feels that Rayudu cemented his place in the World Cup squad with his outstanding knock of 90 in the final ODI against New Zealand.

“Rayudu was the last one to enter the race and it needed only a handful of good knocks to put him at the top of the queue. Late starters have a significant advantage while the team is closing in on a world event, for there’s hardly any time left for experimentation. There were some question marks about Rayudu’s efficiency in trying circumstances but the last game of this tour has sealed his place,” Chopra said.

Aakash Chopra’s Indian squad for World Cup 2019:

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Ambati Rayudu, Dinesh Karthik, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni, Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Khaleel Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal.
