'Nobody told me what was my fault' – Abdur Razzak
Abdur Razzak – once the variable spin wizard of team Bangladesh has been deprived of his position in the team for a long period of time, ended the prospectus career with no spark to show on. Played his last Test and ODI match back in 2014, Abdur Razzak finds no reason of such a termination of his international cricket career. [Read in Bangla:আমার সমস্যা কি কেউ তা আমাকে জানায়নি]
“Nobody told me what my troubles are. I really don’t know where is my lacking or what fault have I done? I did not play so bad in the National League, BCL or Premier League for last several years” – Razzak said.
After the sudden suspension of Arafat Sunny from international cricket, there is a scarcity of spinners in the team. As the bilateral series against Afghanistan and England are approaching it is now a big question who is to make part with Shakib Al Hasan in the mid-section of the innings.
Mosharraf Hossain Rubel and Suhrawardi Shuvo have been called in the national camp after a prolong period of time. Both Rubel and Shuvo played for Bangladesh around eight and six years ago respectively. But the highest wicket taker (207) for the team Abdur Razzak is still out of the scene.
Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said Razzak was not called in the camp in accordance with the need of the team management but did not deny his future arrival in the team.
“We are not thinking about him for this series but he is in our thoughts. Abdur Razzak is a senior cricketer – we received his services in the past and want to have him in the future as well” – Minhajul Abedin said.
