As head coach Russell Domingo said, young Saif Hassan will be accompanied by Tamim Iqbal at the opening spot in the Rawalpindi Test starting on February 7. Will the 21-year-old opener be able to meet expectations?

Saif, however, is extremely confident. The right-hander spreads the message of hope before leaving the country for Pakistan today (Tuesday). Bangladesh have a good idea about the bowling attack of Pakistan. It’s not easy to do well. Still, Saif has faith in himself that he will be able to cope with the challenge of opening.

In the words of Saif,

“Opening against Pakistan must be challenging. Even though I have been opening in domestic cricket, so there will not be much problem Insha Allah. And the sooner I can adapt, the better it will be for me and the team.”

Bangladesh will play the Test without any preparation. However, Saif does not object to that. He feels the preparation has been good with the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) at home.

The young opener said, “Insha Allah, something good will happen. May everyone pray that we can do something good. The preparation was very good for us. We played a lot of good matches in the first round of BCL. And the practice has been good too. All in all, it was a good preparation.”
