Pakistan fans arrange a protest claiming ‘Justice for Sarfaraz’

Pakistan fans are planning for a small protest on Sunday (October 20th) claiming justice for removing the former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed from captaincy.

Sarfaraz Ahmed

There were a lot of criticisms going around the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed right from ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. A lot of comments were made on his fitness and batting too. Some former players also wanted to name a new captain for Pakistan in place of Sarfraz Ahmed.

After all these around him, Sarfraz Ahmed has been removed as the captain of Pakistan in Tests and T20Is. The decision has come as a result of the whitewash against Sri Lanka at home in the recently concluded three-match T20I series.

But it seems like Pakistan fans are not happy with the decision made by Pakistan Cricket Board regarding the sudden change in the captaincy. Fans are continuously criticizing the board for the decision with a hashtag #WeStandWithSarfarz on twitter to show their support to the wicket-keeper batsman.

The fans have gone to the next level and now they are planning for a protest on 20th December in Karachi, claiming justice for Sarfaraz Ahmed. Under Sarfaraz Ahmed’s captaincy, Pakistan won the ICC Champions Trophy and also went to the pinnacle spot in the ICC T20I Rankings.
